Bridal Bash 2010 kicked off Sunday evening, showcasing local and regional (NY/NJ) bridal and special occasion vendors. Hosted by Scarlett from the Ultimate Affair (www.theultimateaffair.com), and Leanne from Leela Cosmetics (www.leelacosmetics.com), the vendor list was extensive. DJs rocked the house with all your party favorites and caterers gave out delicious samples of wedding dinner options. There were cosmetic, dance and accessories presentations for brides and wedding-minded consumers to browse.
The highlight of the evening was the fashion show presented by Sapienza Couture. Models showed off party dresses, evening wear, flower girl, junior bridesmaids, and two distinct bridal looks. First down the runway was Maggie, wearing a fabulous artsy-chic fuschia silk and organza party dress adorned with sequined circles. Next we saw Cara modeling her degas-inspired ballerina style flower girl dress and matching floral headband. Following Cara was Alma Schneider (www.takebackthekitchen.com) modeling her art deco-inspired gown of crimson silk charmeuse and silk chiffon with antique beaded accents. Our first bride was Ella wearing a vintage style silver silk charmeuse wedding gown with swarovski crystal accents adorning an empire waist and flowy sweep train. Her veil was silver-lined for a rock and roll bridal option.
The second group of models was headed up by Ariella wearing a super fun flirty "party in the city" magenta silk and silk chiffon ruffled dress. Naomi took the runway next wearing a strapless antique pink silk-blend party dress reflecting a 1950s retro teensy waist and full gathered skirt. Elana walked next wearing a one-of-a-kind Junior Bridesmaid option of a below the knee ruffle-hemmed silk charmeuse and silk chiffon red dress with a fun chiffon tie at the waist.
Our final bridal look was modeled by Chelsea (www.myspace.com/chelseasing) who wore a pure white strapless duchess satin trumpet silhouette gown with cut German glass bead accents. When she rounded the corner, the back of the gown revealed a cathedral length detachable silk organza train embroidered with vines. Her cathedral length veil was edged with silk thread. Hair styling was provided by Boushelle Alvarez, bridal headpiece designer of www.fromhudsonwithlove.com. The gowns all evoked a whimsical charm and elegant options for brides, wedding party and guests alike! It was an amazing evening full of fun and fashion. Thank you to all who participated in bringing the fashions to life!
